We're Back — And There's So Much to Share
If you've visited the Karen's Club blog recently, you may have noticed it's been a little quiet.
The truth is, while I haven't been writing, I certainly haven't been sitting still.
Over the last few years, I've had the privilege of working directly with patients and caregivers across the country through Karen's Club, helping individuals navigate difficult cancer diagnoses, understand biomarker testing, explore clinical trial options, and make informed decisions about their care.
I've also had the opportunity to collaborate with researchers, healthcare providers, advocacy organizations, and community partners who share a common goal: making sure every patient has access to the information they need to advocate for themselves.
Some of the work has taken me into conference rooms, research meetings, community events, podcasts, and speaking engagements. Some of the most meaningful work, however, has happened in private conversations with patients who simply needed someone to listen, explain, and help them take the next step.
One thing I've learned is that patients are hungry for trustworthy information that is easy to understand. They want to know what's changing in cancer research, what questions they should ask their doctors, and how other patients are navigating similar challenges.
That's why I'm bringing the Karen's Club blog back.
Moving forward, you can expect new posts every week covering topics such as:
Cancer research and clinical trial updates
Biomarker testing and precision medicine
Patient advocacy and health equity
Conversations from the cancer community
Practical tips for patients and caregivers
Behind-the-scenes insights from my work as a patient advocate and Community Scientist
My goal is simple: to make complex information easier to understand and more accessible to the people who need it most.
If you're looking for personalized support, remember that Karen's Club offers free one-on-one patient navigation services. And if you're interested in staying informed, I hope you'll visit the blog each week for new conversations, insights, and resources.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
We're just getting started.
